Karen, a native of Southwest Georgia, is a highly accomplished insurance agent and proud member of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia, Karen brings a unique perspective to her role as a State Farm agent.

Having experienced State Farm's exceptional customer service firsthand after her personal home was hit by a severe wind event, Karen was inspired to open her own State Farm agency. Her early belief in the importance of life insurance, shaped by the loss of her father at a young age, drives her passion for helping others protect their families and assets.

Since the opening of her agency in January 2018, Karen has assembled a dedicated team of insurance professionals, including Brittany and Wanda, who have been by her side from the beginning. Their knowledge extends to a range of insurance services, including auto, renters, homeowners, business, and life insurance. Serving customers not only in Albany/Dougherty County but also in Dawson/Terrell, Leesburg/Lee, Camilla/Mitchell, Cairo/Grady, and beyond, Karen and her team are committed to providing personalized coverage options tailored to each customer's needs.

Outside of her agency, Karen and her husband Jeff enjoy splitting their time between Dougherty and Terrell Counties. They cherish moments spent traveling and creating lasting memories with their family and children.

We are a fun team that treats each other as family. Brittany, our office manager, is a fan favorite. Our customers love her caring and bubbly personality and ask for her by request when calling in. While Wanda is partially retired, she still comes in from time to time to help our awesome customers, and they love when she does!

Brittany Lawson is a Georgia native, born in Columbus and raised in South Georgia. She spent her childhood in Lee County, attending local schools and forming close friendships that have lasted a lifetime.

After spending some time in North Carolina, Brittany returned to her home state and settled into a fulfilling career at Karen Hanner State Farm. As the office manager, she is licensed to help customers with all of their insurance needs. Her friendly personality and dedication to her customers have made her a favorite among them.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved Golden Retriever, Waco. She is an active member of her church, where she enjoys helping young adults and college students stay engaged and entertained. She is also a fan of festivals, rodeos, and other local events.

Overall, Brittany is a kind and dedicated individual who loves her community and is committed to making a positive impact wherever she goes.

I have lived in Lee County all my life, except for a small amount of time in Albany.

I have been a State Farm team member for almost 10 years. I have enjoyed working with State Farm.

I have been married for 39 years, I have 2 boys, 1 daughter in love married to my oldest child, they have 5 children 3 of their own and 2 adopted.

My youngest just graduated from SCAD in Savannah as a 3D animator.

I have 2 Cats, Luna and Missy.

My husband and I have just purchased a tri-glide Harley Davidson motorcycle and are enjoying it every chance we get.

I enjoy reading, watching movies, working in the yard, and traveling.
